A bumble bee sitting right in the middle of a cluster of spring flowers, the kind of composition where the blooms and the bee are equally important. The bee itself has proper yellow and black stripe sections done in satin fill with the wing panels in a lighter thread so you can see the transparency effect. Around it are soft pastel blooms, open petals, small buds, and green leaves that frame the whole thing vertically. My daughter saw the mockup and immediately wanted it on her jacket, which is kinda the best sign a design can get. Its one of those pieces that looks complicated but youre gonna love the result.

Five colours total across 5 sizes from 1.98 inches wide at small scale, growing to 4.24 inches at the largest. The stitch counts range from 15,853 to 34,085, which is a significant range because the floral sections at the larger size carry alot of satin density. The density number is 1,070 so dont underestimate the stabiliser needs here. Wilcom handled the file with careful underlay on the bee body stripes to keep the yellow from spreading into the black sections, which is always the tricky bit with bumble bees.

Tape a thick backer for any knit or stretch base. On woven cotton or linen a medium cutaway is enough. Lay a wash-away topping film on towelling or textured fleece before you hoop so the satin columns on the flower petals come through cleanly. The narrow profile of this design (under 4.5 inches at the widest) means it fits on a shirt breast pocket panel, a hat, or a small tote without needing a massive hooping area.

Works beautifully on white cotton, cream canvas, pale mint, or soft lavender fabric. The pastel blooms read best on lighter backgrounds. Keep your bobbin tension consistent through the colour changes and youll get a clean finish from the bee stripes to the petal tips.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
