The cats face is completely made of plants, full frontal view with every part of the skull replaced by botanical blooms and leaves. Big rounded outer ears built from layered leaf clusters, a central forehead arrangement of open-faced flowers pointing upward like a crown, and then smaller rosebuds and tulip-shaped blooms packed into the cheek and chin areas. The eyes are the only bit that reads as actual cat, two almond-shaped iris fills in deep ivy green with black satin surround and tiny white highlight dots. Whiskers run outward in long single-stitch lines from the muzzle. Its a floral cat face design and honestly its one of the more unusual things Ive digitised.

Only 5 colours, which is kinda wild for how dense and layered the whole thing looks. Powder Puff pink (Madeira Classic 40 code 1115), Ivy green (code 1304), white, and black do all the work. The lack of a background fill is what keeps it clean since the white fabric ground becomes the fifth element in the composition. Stitch counts go from 29,792 on the 4.4-inch up to 58,212 on the 8.31-inch. Thats alot of coverage, 210 trims on the bigger sizes, so budget 40-50 minutes for the large version.

One customer told me last month she stitched the 6-inch on a cream linen cushion and her friends thought it was a printed fabric. Honestly though its a compliment but also a challenge because you want the stitching texture visible in photos. Shooting at an angle catches the satin sheen nicely. Cat people and botanical embroidery fans both go for this one, wider audience than most single-subject designs.

Stitch on white or natural linen because the white ground acts as the fifth colour. Avoid cream or off-white if youre wanting the white thread elements to read properly, they blend into warm-toned fabric. Use a cutaway stabiliser since the density at 824 and the large satin leaf areas need firm backing. Topping helps on any texture weave. Text the design handle to me if the file doesnt arrive right and Ill get a fresh copy sent over same day.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
