A black cat is sprawled right across the pages of an open book, completely unbothered, with a whole garden of tall wildflowers growing up around it. Youve got orange blooms, purple daisies with pink centres, leafy green stems, and two butterflies on either side, all stitched in 6 colours. Its a busy composition but the digitising keeps everything balanced. The 5 inch size clocks in around 30,000 stitches so plan on roughly 30 minutes depending on your machine speed.
This is one of the more detailed designs Ive done. Density is set at 934 so the colour fills are rich and fully saturated, you really get that lush garden feel. The cat body uses directional satin to give it a smooth coat look even in solid black. The butterfly wings have their own fine satin work with black outline columns. Use a cutaway stabiliser, not tearaway, this design puts down alot of stitches and you want the base to hold without pulling. Topping is a good idea on any textured fabric. Skip the topping on smooth cotton twill though, the lines come out perfectly crisp without it.
Ive had this one go on linen tote bags, canvas pillow covers and denim jackets and it looks different on each one in the best way. One customer messaged me last week asking about the largest 5.5 inch size on a 6x10 hoop, and yes it fits comfortably. Use the 6 colour thread order from the file, dont skip the underlay runs on the flower sections or the fills can shift. Add a layer of water soluble topping on the fine stem sections for any pile fabric. Text me if you need any help sorting the file.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
