This isnt a flat stamped paw print. Every pad and toe bean is built up from pencil-sketch crosshatch lines, so the texture looks like someone sat down with a fine-point pen and actually illustrated it. Then a garden flower comes in from the lower right, five rounded petals and a detailed centre, with a couple of broad leaves spreading behind it. The paw and the flower share the space without fighting each other.

Three thread colours but the entire palette sits within the charcoal-to-black range, which is why it reads right on almost any fabric. Stitches go from 8,510 on the 3.51-inch up to 19,327 on the large 7.51-inch. Density lands at 370, lighter than most floral designs at this size, the sketch-line construction means theres more open space between stitches so the fabric breathes through.

I drew this one after a customer from a pet memorial studio emailed me last november asking for something that worked for a sympathy gift without being too heavy or sad looking. She wanted something that a grieving dog owner could wear to remember their pet but not look like a funeral piece. This design hit that brief, she's reordered it four times now for different clients. It also gets alot of interest from garden centre gift shops who put it on their canvas market bags for dog-welcoming days. Honestly didnt expect the garden crowd to latch onto it but here we are.

Pair it on warm oatmeal cotton or natural linen and the charcoal sketch-work sits like ink on paper. Also looks great on dusty sage or blush fabric. Back it with a firm stabiliser, the dense crosshatch lines in the toe pads need the fabric held completely flat or the sketch texture reads blurry. Skip stretchy knits for the large size. Email me if the flower detail stitches look crowded on your hoop and Ill send you a lighter fill version.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
