This lil floral fox was one of those designs I spent a bunch of extra time on back in march because layering florals over an animal silhouette is trickier than it looks. Ya cant just drop flowers on top of the satin fill, the underlay has to be sequenced carefully or the petals pucker against the fur texture underneath. Nine colour stops total and a density of 109, which puts it in proper mid-range territory. Nine sizes from 3.5 reaching 7.5 inches wide, stitch count from 1,089 up to 39,486 at the largest.
Digitised in Wilcom with directional satin on the russet fur so it reads as actual fur rather than flat fill. The floral elements use a combination of applique-style satin petals and small fill sections. Ive tested this on fleece, quilting cotton, and denim and the colour separation between the orange body and the dusty pink florals holds cleanly on all three. Use cutaway on anything with stretch, the fur satin sections are dense and youre pulling threads in multiple directions. Pick tearaway on firm woven cotton or canvas, it releases without distorting the petal edges. Stitch a test scrap first if youre working with a new fabric base.
I get messages all the time about this one from mums making nursery decor and kids room stuff, and alot of people use it for tote bags and autumn-theme cushion covers aswell. One customer wrote me last october after she'd done a whole set of woodland animal hoops for her daughters bedroom, the fox was her favourite and she used the 6-inch size on natural cotton with a cream mat. Really really nice result. Drop a message if youre having trouble with the colour sequence and Ill walk you through it step by step.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
