A heart shape built out of tiny flowers and leaves, with a couple of butterflies sitting on the curves and one mid-flight just outside the outline. Its all done in a single colour as an outline design, so every little petal and wing detail shows as a clean satin column line against the fabric. Digitising this one cleanly took a while because the flower petals and butterfly wings sit very close together and the underlay has to be really precise so they dont bleed into each other.

5 sizes, 3.5 to 7.5 inches wide and 3.1 to 6.5 inches tall, stitch counts from 10,346 up to 21,249 on the largest. Single colour means no thread changes which is honestly kinda just ideal when you want to batch a bunch of items quickly. The outline style works on dark and light fabrics equally, you just pick a contrasting thread.

My niece asked me last spring to make her something for her bedroom wall and this is the design she picked out. She stitched it in white on a navy linen panel and had it framed. It looked really really clean and botanical, like a nature illustration rather than an embroidery pattern. I get messages about this design regularly from people doing bridal gift sets and nursery decor.

Use it on linen, cotton canvas and firm wovens. Tearaway stabiliser works on most wovens, cutaway if you're putting it on any stretch. The single colour outline is unforgiving of hooping issues so pull your fabric taut before you start.

Pair it with a name or initials in the centre of the heart for a personalised piece. Avoid busy printed fabrics where the outline would get lost. Heres the easy pick, plain linen wins. Im sure of it. Youll see. Thats kinda always my advice for outline work.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
