Ornate mirrored hands forming a heart, with floral wrists and scrollwork on the fingers, all black thread, 5 sizes 2.5 to 5 inch. This is the hand-heart design where the hands themselves are ornate rather than plain. Two hands face each other fingers curled inward thumbs pointing down forming the classic heart shape in the negative space between them. At the base of each wrist theres a large open bloom with magnolia-type petals and detailed centre markings, and up along the fingers theres fine scrollwork curling off each knuckle. Its decorative all the way not a flat outline at all. Lace in thread form recieved from people as the most common compliment.
All black, 1 colour, 0 colour changes. Stitch range 10,849 to 20,281. The finger and scroll details are narrow satin sections so you want the tension dialled in before you run this. Use a medium woven cutaway stabiliser and hoop snug, the fine detail in the scroll areas wont sit flat if the stabiliser has any give in it. Stitch on white, cream, or pale blush for maximum contrast. Run a test at low speed on silk or satin before the final run.
One customer ordered this on cream organza last spring for a wedding topper embellishment and sent me a photo, it looked genuinely like lace applique. I get messages from bridal people about this one more than any other hands design Ive got. Its suprisingly popular for baby shower keepsake hoops too. Pop it on white linen in a 5 inch hoop frame and its a gift people actually keep.
