So the heart shape here isnt just outlined, its actually built from swirling vines. Thin curling stems wrap around the inside edge and spiral inward, and tucked along those floral vines are small teardrop flowers and tiny leaves. The whole thing reads as a heart from a distance but up close youre looking at a botanical illustration kind of thing. Its 2 colours, a warm rose for the flower heads and a cream or off-white for the vine structure, which keeps it from looking too heavy.

I digitised this with satin stitching on the flowers and a lighter fill stitch on the vine tracery so theres actual texture contrast when its stitched out. Stitch count runs from 8,495 at the 3.51 inch size up to 21,863 at 7.51 inches. That density at 433 means everything lands crisp without flattening the fabric underneath. Pop a polymesh cutaway on woven cotton or linen and youll be fine. Avoid stretchy jersey unless you back it properly.

Last valentines season a customer shared a snap of this on a white cotton tote and the vine detail read really clearly even at the 3.5 inch run. I was suprised how well the satin flowers held on a slightly textured canvas. Pop it on light-coloured fabric so both thread colours show up properly. Skip dark navy or black backgrounds unless you swap the cream vine to a brighter white thread.

Try the 5.5 inch size on a tea towel or kitchen linen if youre not sure where to start. Works well centered on a pocket, or slightly off-center on a pillowcase for a less formal look. Holler if you need a size that isnt in the pack and I'll see what I can do.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
