The whole owl face is built from flowers and feather-petals, theres almost no plain satin fill anywhere. The crown feathers fanning up from the head are sky blue and cobalt blue overlapping petal shapes. Hot pink curved arches sweep over the eyes like dramatic brow lines. The eyes themselves are gold rings with white centres staring straight forward, serious and wide. Around the beak theres a cluster of red and pink hibiscus blooms with green leaves tucked in between. More green leaf shapes fill the lower face and chin area. Its botanical all the way through, just arranged into an owl shape.

High stitch count because of all that detail. 20,684 stitches at the chest 3.5 and 53,034 at the top 7.5-inch. Density at 985 so this will sit thick and raised on fabric, which is exactly what you want for a design this layered. 9 sizes, 3.5 by 3.35 inches small up to 7.5 by 7.18 inches large. Best results on dark fabric where those colours absolutely sing. I hear from buyers who stitched it on black cotton and said it looked like a framed artwork and honestly that checks out.

One customer ordered the 6-inch for a black linen tote bag last september and I recieved a message from her saying three people at a market asked where she bought the bag. The owl reads at distance which is rare for this level of detail. Use a firm mesh cutaway stabiliser, the density demands it. Hoop super tight, the repeated short satin strokes on the feather-petals will pull and pucker if the fabric has any give during stitching. Dont skimp on the stabiliser here, its genuinely not optional at this density.

Skip light or busy patterned fabrics, the design has enough going on already. Black, charcoal, navy or deep forest green are my top choices. Slow the machine for the eye sections, the directional tatami fill on those gold rings needs patience. And if something goes wrong with the file or the stitch sequence just send me a message and Ill sort it out quick.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
