Scrubs pocket, canvas tote, lab coat left breast. Thats the short list of where this one ends up. The stethoscope runs in a hot-pink satin fill, the tubing sweeping in clean directional columns from the silver-grey earpiece tips all the way down to the chest piece, which has a pink outer ring, a grey satin layer, and a periwinkle-blue centre disc in tight concentric circles. Where the tube bends, a little wildflower bouquet takes over: a big pale-pink tulip with a golden yellow centre, two periwinkle-blue daisies with matching yellow centres, and a soft five-petal pale pink bloom, all anchored on sage green stems with bright leaves. Six colours. Dense. At the full 7.51 inch it clocks 21,240 stitches, so this isnt a quick weekend project.

Im pretty particular about stabiliser on designs like this. Jersey and fleece really need cutaway, not tearaway, cause the tubing fill is long-column satin and it pulls when the fabric stretches in the wash. Topping on the smaller sizes is gonna save you, especially at 3.5 inches on a thin denim pocket where the weave swallows those daisy petals if you skip it. Hoop the fabric flat, use a medium-weight cutaway underneath, and lay your topping sheet on top before you drop the presser foot. Cotton twill and woven linen are easier, tearaway holds fine on those, and the underlay sits without fighting the base cloth. Check your bobbin tension before you start, the density is 402 and a loose bobbin shows on satin columns right away.

One customer of mine ordered this last month for a canvas zipper pouch, graduation gift for her clinical supervisor, and that kinda project is exactly what suits it. Centre the 5.5 inch on a natural canvas tote, pop the 3.5 on a felt badge reel cover, or use the big size on a white terry towel for a gift hamper. Pair with cutaway on anything knit. Skip tearaway on fleece altogether. On the jump stitches between petals, trim as you go rather than pulling at the end, the density makes em tangle.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Nursing scrubs chest pocketThe 4 inch drops onto a scrubs chest pocket without crowding the seam lines, solid on medium tearaway.
  • Canvas tote for healthcare workersNatural canvas tote handles the dense satin fill without puckering, and the pink reads bright against cream fabric.
  • Lab coat left breastCentre it on the left breast of a white lab coat. Cotton twill takes satin columns really cleanly.
  • Nurse appreciation gift pouchThat nursing-graduation zipper pouch project works great, 4 or 5 inch on a cotton canvas body fits perfectly.
  • Fleece blanket gift setUse the big 7 inch on fleece with a wide cutaway, just make sure it clears all the petal edges.
  • Badge reel cover with felt backingFelt backing on a badge reel needs the smallest 3.5 inch. Any bigger and it wont sit flat.
  • Terry towel spa giftPink flowers pop on white terry and the colour holds up well after washing, makes a solid gift.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
