Theres a floral woman face design and its the kind of thing that doesnt look like a typical embroidery. The face is a single flowing black outline, side profile, no fill at all. Just the jaw curve, the nose tip, the lips. And then the flowers take over. Big open hibiscus blooms in that deep teal-turquoise colour cascade from the crown down through where the hair would be, petals overlapping, leaves tucked in around em. Its the contrast that makes this one land so well. Bare minimal face, and then all that botanical chaos up top.

Two colours total. The portrait outline stitches in black with clean running stitch, delicate and continuous. The blooms go full satin fill in teal with proper directional stitching on the petals so each one has real dimension. Smallest size runs at 8,485 stitches and the 7.5-inch maximum tops out around 17,892.Density stays manageable at 442 so it wont pull or pucker on stable wovens.

Last spring I got a message from a fashion boutique owner in Melbourne who wanted it on cream linen tote bags for her new season display. She said customers kept asking where the bags came from. Ive had aswell a few customers use the 5-inch on the front of a white tea towel, which honestly looks really elegant for gifting. But the most popular spot seems to be flat canvas market bags.

Stitch it on natural linen, cream cotton canvas, or white twill. Skip anything with a busy texture because the portrait line is fine and needs a calm ground to read. A tearaway underneath the wovens works well here, hoop snug and slow the speed down for the satin flower fills. Pick the 3.5-inch for small pockets, the 6-inch for tote fronts, and the 7.5-inch for cushion covers or canvas panels.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
