Heres a line art piece I drew up back in january for a buyer who runs a small boutique. She wanted minimalist designs for her packaging tags, nothing too detailed alot of fill, just clean linework. So I sketched a profile portrait with a lil flower crown and traced it as one continuous line where I could.

Its a single colour design, one black thread throughout. The stitch count runs from 1174 to 2030 across all twelve sizes, so even the biggest size at 6.45 inches wide runs in under 8 minutes. Very fast stitch out. And the linework is thin enough that the design reads delicate even at the larger end. Density is 42 because its basically a running stitch outline, no fills.

Use an embroidery 75/11 sharp. Light tearaway works fine for most fabric since theres no dense fill pulling the substrate. But on stretchy knit fabric youll still need a fusible cutaway underneath, otherwise the line wobbles when the fabric snaps back. Wilcom was used to digitise this so the curves are smooth, no jagged edges. Sizes range from 2.15 to 6.45 inches wide and 1 thread colours total. Run a test stitch before committing.

Pairs nicely with linen tea towels, cotton tote bags, soft tshirts, journal covers, valentines day cards stitched on fabric, boutique packaging tags. The minimal outline style sits well next to typography, so its good for matching with a quote piece. Sits flat on the fabric with no bulk, machine wash safe. Keep a quality steam iron handy for finishing.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
