I started calling this one the marshmallow bird in my head while I was digitising it because its just this impossibly round puffball shape. Seven colours, nine sizes, 3.5 up to 7.5 inches wide, and at the big 7.5 inch end youre up at 51,596 stitches with a density of 142. The roundness drives that stitch count, getting a smooth satin fill on a perfect sphere shape without puckering takes careful underlay and Wilcom handles it really well but ya still need a solid cutaway stabiliser underneath.
The eyes are the detail people text me about most. Big dark satin fill circles with two tiny white highlight dots dropped in, and my niece said it looks suprised every time she looks at it. The white highlights go in last in the sequence so stitch order matters if you ever need to re-export. Dont skip em, they turn a yellow blob into something with actual personality.
Pick a stable woven cotton, denim, or canvas for the best result. The satin fill on the body needs something that doesnt stretch or the roundness goes oval. On fleece use a cutaway stabiliser and a topping layer or the cream underbelly section will sink into the pile. I ran this on a navy cotton pillowcase last month and the yellow body really popped, butter yellow on navy is a great combo for this one.
Works great for kids stuff, nursery decor, spring-themed projects, tea towels, tote bags, you name it. Seven colours means the thread changes are manageable even for beginners. Use a tearaway on heavy canvas if you dont want cutaway showing at the back. Reach me if the file gives you any trouble downloading and Ill have it sorted for ya. Text a quick message if the download fails and Ill fix it.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
