This kitten has the highest stitch count in my current cat range, the density of 201 is what gives it that textured fur quality. Eight sizes, 3.27 to 7 inches wide, stitch counts from 30,368 at the smallest up to 68,179 at the full 7-inch version. Eight colours total, mostly fur tones from light cream through mid grey, plus pink inner ear, coloured iris, and the dark nose and whisker points. The fur sections use short directional satin passes at multiple angles, which is why the digitising took abit longer than a flat-fill design.
Because the density is so high youll want a firm cutaway stabiliser, dont skimp on this one. The applique-style layering in the fur zone puts real stress on the base fabric during the run. Add a tearaway topping on fluffy fleece or velour if you want the ear tips to stay sharp. Best to use a 75/11 needle on woven cotton for this design, the fine needle handles the dense satin without breaking the top thread on tight passes. Pair it with a medium-weight cutaway on stretchy cotton blends and you wont get puckering around the ear edges. Skip light tearaway on anything with density over 150, it just wont hold.
My customers tend to reach for this one around valentines day and gift season, its the kind of kitten face people want on a cushion or a tote for a friend who collects cat stuff. One customer who runs a small personalised gifts shop ordered it last week and said shes already had repeat requests from the same buyers. Text me if the file comes through with a missing colour stop and Ill resend the corrected version straight away.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Valentine's Day gift cushionThe 6-inch on a cotton cushion cover is a solid valentines day gift for any cat lover.
- Cat lover tote bag designCentre the 5-inch on a natural canvas tote, cutaway stabiliser holds the dense fur stitching flat.
- Baby room cotton blanketStitch the 3.5-inch in the corner of a baby cotton blanket, light tearaway removes without pulling.
- Pet-themed birthday bagThe 4-inch on a small gift bag makes a cute party favour for a cat-themed birthday.
- Girls bedroom pillowcaseA single 6-inch on a white pillowcase looks clean, use medium cutaway so it survives the wash.
- Cotton sweatshirt chest panelRun the 5-inch on a cotton sweatshirt chest, cutaway backing keeps the heavy stitch count from puckering.
- Small gift pouch frontThe 3.27-inch on a cotton drawstring pouch is a quick gift project that looks more involved than it is.
- Cat cafe apron logo areaMount the 4-inch on a cafe apron bib area for a cat-themed hospitality uniform touch.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
