Big round full moon dead centre, filling most of the design area, and three black bats crossing in front of it at different angles like they own the october sky. The moon itself has a proper textured surface fill, not just a flat yellow circle, darker craters mapped across it in a yellow-green tone so it looks three dimensional. Each bat has small glowing green eyes, theyre the only pop of colour on the wings, and delicate grey vein lines run through the satin fills. Theres a tiny spider hanging on a thread right at the bottom of the moon and honestly its nearly invisible on the small sizes but at the 7.5 run youll see it clearly.

Only 6 colours and 5 thread swaps, which is suprisingly restrained for how much is going on visually. The density concentrates in the moon fill, over 8k stitches just for the yellow-green surface texture on the largest size. I get messages from buyers nearly every october who say they love how this one runs faster than most halloween designs, because the wings are flat black satin without alot of layering.

Stitch on black, charcoal, deep navy or dark purple fabric. The yellow moon needs a dark background or the whole thing flattens out. I tried it on white once as a test and it looked fine but it lost the drama completely. The green eyes only really glow against dark fabric aswell.

Stick to firm cutaway on darker knit fabrics which tend to be heavier. On black woven denim or canvas, tearaway works fine if you hoop tight. For the smaller 3 in on a pocket or badge, place a thin mesh topping over the fabric to keep the tatami moon fill tidy. Skip pale or mid-tone fabrics entirely. Text me if anything looks off when stitched out and Ill pull the file back up.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
