This eagle is not perched, its mid-attack. Wings spread out wide with individual primary feathers trailing behind, head turned to the side with that fixed forward gaze, one taloned foot thrust out front. The whole body is tilted at a downward angle that gives it momentum. The white head and tail contrast against the dark body, and that contrast is what makes the design read from a distance even though the 3 colours are all in the same tonal range.

The feather rows are the most detailed part of this one. Each wing section has its own directional fill laid at a different angle to separate the layers, and the underlay is tight enough that the surface stitches dont shift during hooping. Wilcom EmbroideryStudio is what I used for the feather density work -- it runs at 1116 across the whole design and that level of control isnt really possible without dedicated digitising software. Thats a high density and it means the finished piece has a real weight to it, like embroidered artwork rather than a casual graphic. Only 3 sizes available, smallest is 6.51 inches wide so this is a larger design by default.

One customer asked about running this on a navy tee for a patriotic event, the 6.51-inch on navy with black and white thread made the pale crown section stand out dramatically. Best fabric is a firm knit or woven with heavy cutaway stabiliser underneath, the stitch count is too high for lightweight or stretchy bases without proper backing. Add water-soluble topping if your fabric has any surface texture, it keeps the fine feather rows from sinking in.

Use it on back panels of jackets or hoodies, large tote bags, military-style caps at the biggest hoop size, and framed hoop art for a patriotic or wildlife theme. Its popular with hunters and military customers, christmas and halloween both get requests for eagle designs believe it or not.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Back panels of jackets and hoodiesThe large sizing suits jacket back panels perfectly, the wingspan reads well at 8.51 inches with full feather detail visible.
  • Large tote bags with wildlife or patriotic themeOn a heavy canvas tote the high stitch density creates a near-sculptural texture that shoppers notice and comment on.
  • Military-style caps and baseball hatsThe 6.51-inch works on a structured cap back panel if your hoop can accommodate the curve, use a cap stabiliser frame.
  • Framed hoop art for home or officeMounted in a 10-inch hoop frame with black background fabric, this looks like gallery wall art.
  • Hunting gear like vest backs or bagsHunting vest backs are a common request, the dark colourway suits earthy outdoor fabrics well.
  • Patriotic event apparelCustomers order this specifically for july 4th and veterans day apparel runs every year.
  • Wildlife photography club merchandiseWildlife and nature clubs use it on polo shirts and tote bags for meetings and events.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
