This is the eagle design Ive been most satisfied with in the wildlife range. The bird is coming straight at you, wings spread full width, talons forward, head down in that focused dive posture. Behind the eagle theres a mountain range scene framed inside a partial crescent-moon circle, with tall pine trees filling the lower half of the frame and jagged peaks above. Its all black thread, single colour, but the directional satin work on the wing feathers gives the bird real depth and the mountains use a lighter tatami fill that contrasts against the denser wing sections.

4 sizes, from 3.83 inches up to 6.71 inches wide, with 27,142 stitches at the small end and 50,945 at the largest. Density clocks in at 1,085 stitches per square centimetre, which is genuinely high. Thats why the wing feather detail reads so clearly. But it also means you need a good cutaway stabiliser and a slower machine speed on medium-weight fabrics. Drop to 600-700 stitches per minute through the wing sections and give the bobbin plenty of thread. Run a topping on fleece so the pine tree silhouettes stay crisp and dont sink into the pile.

Best results on dark navy, charcoal, forest green or black. Ive seen this stitched on waxed canvas patches and then sewn onto field jackets and it looks like a vintage military insignia. Just yesterday a buyer wanted the file on canvas duck and asked which size to pick for a field jacket back patch. I get messages about this one from hunting and outdoor clubs pretty regularly. Stitch it on white and the negative space inside the moon circle opens the whole composition up.

Use a cutaway under knits and woven canvas both. Skip tearaway entirely here, the density is too high and tearaway backing will shift under the needle pressure. Pop it on a jacket back or centred on a canvas field bag front.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
