Three lil round ghosts, all tilted at slightly different angles like theyre tumbling through the air together. Each ghost has a simple dot eye expression and a little curl at the bottom that makes em look like theyre floating rather than hovering. 3 colours in total, the kind of gentle palette that works on kids halloween gear without being too intense. Low stitch count, which is kinda the whole point for childrens garments because you dont want anything too dense on thin cotton.
Stitch count goes from 1,764 on the smallest 1.16 inch wide size stretching out to 3,563 on the 2.47 inch version. Five sizes in total. I digitised this in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio with a light satin outline and minimal fill density so the ghosts stay soft and flexible on jersey fabrics. A tearaway stabiliser works well here, especially on lighter knit. Hoop it firm so the design stays centred, these small sizes can drift if the stabiliser gives.
My niece asked me for a halloween set last year and this was one of the designs I made for her pyjamas. The tiny size fits on the chest of a 12-month onesie which is honestly where half my customers end up using it. Its a versatile one because the design is horizontal enough to fit across a pocket or a sleeve aswell. Reach out if you need a colour change or want a version with 2 ghosts instead of 3.
Best results on white, cream, or pale grey cotton. Avoid using it on dark fabrics with white ghost thread unless you lay water-soluble topping over to keep those thin ghost outlines from sinking into the texture. Youll be glad you did on anything with a loop pile.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

- Kids trick-or-treat canvas bags and drawstring backpacksStitch on cream canvas with orange and grey thread for a classic halloween colour scheme on a tote.
- Small left-chest placement on children's halloween t-shirtsLeft chest placement on a toddler tee looks best with the 1.5 or 2 inch size depending on shirt size.
- Halloween-themed burp cloths and nursery towels for baby giftsOn terry cloth or waffle fabric use a water-soluble topping layer to keep the satin outline crisp.
- Pocket embroidery on kids hoodies or zip-up jacketsThe 2 inch size fits a standard hoodie pocket with room on both sides, stitch before sewing the pocket on.
- Personalised halloween pillowcases for kids bedroom decorStitch in white thread on a charcoal or black pillowcase for a bold spooky look in kids rooms.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
