Flying Unicorn Embroidery Design, Pastel Rainbow Mane Pegasus Pattern, Instant Download

The flying unicorn is my fully detailed cartoon design, no minimalism here at all. Chubby baby unicorn rearing up on her hind legs, white wings spread wide behind, with a flowing rainbow mane in pink aqua yellow blue and a matching curly tail. The horn is two tone blue and gold, eyes are big and sparkly magenta, theres a tiny red heart on her cheek. Total fairytale energy.

Ten colours total which is alot, three colour changes more than usual. Soft pink for the body, white for the wings with grey shading, rainbow stripes through the mane and tail, blue and yellow on the horn, magenta with white highlight on the eyes, plus the red heart and black outline work. Each section gets its own pass, theres no shortcut here.

I drew this one because my niece kept stealing my sketchpad last summer and only ever drew unicorns. She wanted me to make one she could put on her birthday party tshirt. Honestly it took me three tries to get the proportions right because cute is harder than realistic, but the result reads like a storybook page. Other parents have been ordering it since for birthday merch.

Three sizes only because this is a detailed piece, not meant for tiny stitches. Smallest is 5.5 inch wide with 28.8k stitches, middle and largest stretch up to 7.5 inch across at 41k stitches. Below 5 inch the rainbow stripes start blending together and you lose the magic.

Stitches cleanly on cotton, fleece, soft jersey and lightweight canvas. Best results on white, cream or pastel backgrounds where the rainbow tones still pop. Skip dark fabrics here because the pastels mute against navy or black. Back tees with cutaway stabiliser since the pastel fill is dense. For woven cotton tearaway works fine. Hoop super tight, the colour change sequence runs long so any fabric slip will show. Send me a note if your machine cant read all ten colours and ill ship a replacement.
