Mocked up this flying witch specifically because the hair is the whole story. Most witch silhouettes have a hat and maybe a cape flutter, this one has the hair as a full separate mass streaming behind her, long wild fraying strands that take up almost as much horizontal space as the broom. Its the kind of shape that reads instantly as movement and energy, which is why it works so well on a navy denim shoulder panel where you want something with a bit of drama.
Three sizes from 2.31 inches wide up to 4.14 inches, stitch count 6,319 to 12,502. Single colour, zero colour changes, 10 trims. Density measured at 671 per unit, the highest of the witch silhouette group, because those individual hair strand filaments need enough satin density to hold their shape without merging into each other. Built in Wilcom and the hair digitising routes each strand as a separate element rather than one mass fill, which is what preserves the wispy fraying look in the finished embroidery.
Jet black thread on an indigo denim jacket back is genuinely suprising, you wouldnt think same-family colours would work but the texture contrast between the flat woven denim and the satin stitch black is striking. A violet or deep purple accent element around this design pairs well if you want colour without breaking the spooky vibe. One customer ran it on the chest pocket of a black linen blazer for a halloween office event and it was the quietest but most-noticed outfit in the room.
Use medium cutaway stabiliser, the hair strand tips wont hold without that backing. Add a light topping sheet on woven denim so the strands dont sink into the weave texture. Skip slick polyester grounds, theyll fight the satin density. Pair this with a small bat scatter if youre going maximalist.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
