Set a skull in a pair of cupped hands and grow an entire forest out of the top of it. Thats the design. Pine trees in the center, mushrooms low on either side, clouds puffing out left and right, a crescent moon tucked between the trunks. Its drawn in fine line art so theres no solid satin fill, just delicate outlines and a density of 401 stitches per square centimetre, which keeps the detail sharp without the fabric pulling.

Customers asked for this in a larger size earlier this year and I added the 7.5-inch version specifically. Tape a tearaway behind woven cotton or denim for the running stitch sections, the design isnt dense enough to need cutaway on most fabrics. On dark fabric stitch it in light grey or cream thread rather than white, the softness really suits the sketch aesthetic. Five sizes in the download, ranging from 3.5 to 7.5 inches wide.

Use it on jacket backs, canvas bags, gothic-themed homeware, or as a standalone wall embroidery hoop piece. The line art style means it sits between nature design and dark art, so it crosses audiences well. Email me if you need the aspect ratio adjusted or want to talk about a mirrored version.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Jacket back panels for a gothic or nature aestheticThe 7.5-inch size fills a jacket back panel well and reads as a full statement at that scale.
  • Canvas tote bags for a dark botanical lookFine line art on a natural canvas tote in black thread looks like a printed graphic, very clean finish.
  • Embroidery hoop wall art with a skull motifMount in a 8-inch hoop with natural linen for a framed wall piece, the line weight suits the medium.
  • Gothic home decor pillows or cushion coversWorks on a dark velvet cushion cover in silver or gold thread for a dramatic gothic effect.
  • Denim or canvas patches for bag or jacket customisationStabilise with tearaway on cotton drill, then cut cleanly around the outline for a patch with no fraying.
  • Halloween home textiles that work year-roundThe woodland theme means it doesnt feel out of place in October or any other month of the year.
  • T-shirts for alternative or nature-lover audiencesCentered on a fitted tee in the chest position, reads well even on a medium-weight knit jersey.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
