Songbird mid-flight with wings spread wide leaving an open vintage cage. The 15 colour design has the cage door swung to one side, you can see its empty inside, just an open perch and the small ornate finial up top. Inspirational watercolour splashes of teal, magenta and mustard scatter behind both pieces like the bird shook them loose on its way out.
The bird itself has proper directional feather stitching in the wings, warm orange chest, navy head and tail. The cage is fine black detail with curved bars, the line work stays delicate so it doesnt overpower the bird. Fifteen colours total but most of the volume sits in the splashes which keep stitch density manageable, around 27k at the largest size.
I get a lot of messages about freedom themed pieces, recovery anniversaries, divorce gifts, retirement gifts, that kind of moment. last february a woman ordered the 6 inch size for her sisters one year sober marker. Message me if you need help picking placement, ill walk you through.
Stitch on light coloured fabric so the splash colours read properly, white, oatmeal, soft pink, light grey all work. Skip dark fabrics here cause the cage detail and splashes both lose definition. Use a tearaway stabiliser for woven fabrics and cutaway for any stretch knit.
9 sizes from 3.5 to 7.5 inches wide. Mid sizes around 5 inch are most popular for shirts and tote bags, the 7 inch version really shines as a back panel piece on denim jackets or quilt fronts.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
