Pulled together a design for people who want something genuinely loud and summery, not just a script on a blank field. The whole top half is a big orange-red sun shape, the outline made up of sharp ray spikes going outward, and 'hello' written in a loose script inside the sun body. Below that, 'SUMMER' is laid across seven popsicle shapes, each letter on its own lolly block with a stick poking out the bottom, and each block is a different colour. Dark blue, aqua, yellow, orange, pink, blue, white. Its alot going on and thats the point.

Eight colours, 7 colour changes, density at 434. Built in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio, the lolly blocks each get a satin fill body with a slightly heavier outline column so the edges stay crisp even when the colours are sitting right next to each other. The sun rays use a directional fill that follows the angle of each spike outward. Firm cutaway stabiliser is non-negotiable here, use a light topping on any fabric with texture. Runs up to 18,250 stitches at the 6-inch size, so budget time for the thread stops.

Five sizes from 2.58 inches wide up to 6 inches. One customer grabbed the smallest size last summer for a kids baseball cap and it fit the cap panel without crowding the seams. Suprised how well the aqua and yellow read at that tiny scale. Text me if you want sizing advice before you commit to a hoop size.

Pick light or white fabrics and the full 8-colour palette just pops. Works on a kids tee, a summer camp bag, a beach cover-up. Avoid dark backgrounds on this one, the white block disappears and the aqua loses its brightness. Keep the bobbin tension even across all 7 colour stops and youll get a clean finish. One stitch at a time.

What people are using this design for

  • Summer birthday party tote bagsCentre it on a canvas tote for a party bag that actually looks designed rather than last-minute.
  • Beach cover-up chest graphicsThe wide design works on a beach cover-up chest panel at the 5-inch size on light cotton.
  • Seasonal throw pillows and cushion coversStitched onto a cream or white pillow cover it brings an obvious seasonal energy to any room.
  • Personalised kids backpacks and pouchesFits well on kids drawstring backpacks, the 4-inch version works on the front panel without crowding.
  • Pool party favour bagsStitch onto small calico pouches for a pool or summer birthday party activity bag.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
