Honestly I was giggling when I digitised this one. Its 3 colours, 10,742 stitches at 3.44 x 3.5 inches, and the font styling in Wilcom for those chunky monster letters took a bit of back and forth to get right, when density is only 138 you have to make sure the letter fills dont look too sparse or the whole thing reads thin. But it came together well and the 'Momster' text with the little monster hair detail is just the right amount of ridiculous.
Stitch this on a medium-weight sweatshirt or hoodie with a light cutaway stabiliser. Three colours means fast, you wont be swapping threads six times. The low density of 138 means its gentle on the fabric, so it works on a standard 50/50 cotton-poly blend without distortion. Use a topping on any textured fleece so the wild spiky hair at the top of the letters stays defined and doesnt sink into the pile. And run the lettering underlay before the fill so the letters dont shift position between colour changes.
I get a lot of messages around october from mums buying this for themselves, which I find really charming. One customer ordered three of them last year, one for herself, one for her sister, and one for their mum. She said they wore matching Momster sweatshirts to take the kids trick-or-treating. Thats the kind of gift purchase that makes this design worth having in stock every year. It also works outside of halloween if youre into that kind of mum humour year-round.
Black, dark grey, deep burgundy, pick a dark sweatshirt so the white or cream lettering pops. The lime green monster accents read well against dark fabric and get lost on anything light-coloured. Avoid pale or pastel bases with this colour palette.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
