Right so meet the funny brown bird, electric shocked rooster vibes through and through. Spiky brown feathers jut out every direction off the body and head like the poor thing just lost a fight with a hairdryer. Two huge cartoon eyes sit wide open, white whites with tiny black pupils that do not quite look the same way at the same time, gives ya the panic stare straight on.
Yellow beak hangs open mid-squawk, two skinny stick legs hold up the whole frazzled mess. Body shading runs chocolate brown through the centre, plum dusty edges on the wing, charcoal black accents on the longer feather tips. Directional satin runs across each spiky tuft so the chaos still catches light proper, not just a flat brown blob, every quill has its own line.
I drew this for the funny character crowd, paired well with my purple sleepy bird and the white crane bird, kids love em as a set. Last christmas a customer ordered all three for her grandkids matching pyjamas, the brown rooster was the favourite, kid wouldnt stop laughing at the bug eyes. Pure cartoon humour, not scary not cute, somewhere in between.
Best fabric is plain cotton or jersey in cream, oatmeal, sage or pale grey, the chocolate brown wants warmth in the background. Skip dark navy, the plum shading on the feathers vanishes aswell. Avoid heavy patterned cloth, theres alot going on already with all that spiky plumage and the wide eyes.
Heaviest stitch loads run through her chocolate torso and those wild feather tufts so use a medium cutaway stabiliser on jersey, tearaway works fine on woven cotton totes. 9 sizes from 2.88 inch wide up to 6.15 inch on the bigger hoop, stitch range goes from 17k smallest to 44k largest. Only 7 colour changes which keeps the thread swap easy, ya wont be there all night swapping cones. Worth pinging me before you scale up the size, that frazzled plumage gets fussy past 5 inches.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
