Its a chicken with the energy of someone who just walked into the wrong meeting room. The bird faces straight at you, body puffed forward, big red wobbly comb swept back over the head, matching red wattle below the yellow beak. The expression is perfect, wide round eyes with little eyelash strokes, that look of total bewilderment. Theres nothing subtle about it and thats the whole point.

Body feathers are soft sky-blue grading into a slightly deeper teal at the edges, the wings flare out at both sides like the bird was caught mid-strut. Scaly orange-tan feet planted wide, and those darker overlapping feather strokes at the back give real depth. Twelve colours in the thread stack, running from the warm reds and orange-yellows through to the cool blues and black outlines. My customers use this one mostly for farm-themed kitchen items and kids clothing, but I get orders for it around easter too when people want something farmyard-y without going full chick-and-egg.

Nine sizes from 3.51 inches up to 7.51 inches wide. Stitch counts run from the 3.51 inch smallest right up to 47,695 at the largest, so theres solid coverage through the whole range. Hoop cutaway under stretchy fabrics to keep the comb and eyelash sections crisp. Hoop it onto a linen apron, a cotton tea towel, or a kids hoodie. At the taller sizes the eyelash and comb stitching really pays off on a flat-weave cotton. Pop it somewhere people will see it. Any file questions just message me, ill sort it.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Embroidered on farmhouse-style kitchen towels or apronsThe wide horizontal proportions fit a kitchen towel end panel or apron bib really naturally
  • Stitched onto kids clothing like a t-shirt or hoodieKids clothing at 3.5 to 4 inches works well, the expression always gets a reaction
  • Used on a canvas tote for country market runsGreat for farmers market totes or anything with a casual country feel
  • Added to a denim shirt chest pocketCentered on a chest pocket at the 3.5-inch size it looks like a deliberate badge
  • Placed on a throw pillow for a rustic or farm-themed roomThe solid blue body reads really clearly against cream or white pillow fabric
  • Used on a bag or lunch box for a child who loves animalsLunch boxes and bags for animal-loving kids are a constant request for this style
  • Embroidered on a bandana or neckerchiefThe wide wing span fills a folded bandana point really satisfyingly

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
