Pansy flowers with cartoon faces in the petals. Each flower has big eyes, a little mouth, and its own expression, some look surprised, some look cheeky, one might be winking. The pansies are plump and rounded, very kawaii, stems and leaves are thick and lush below them. The faces are really the whole joke of the design and they pull it off without being too cute or too busy.

14 colours across the group: deep purple, lavender, warm yellow, coral-orange, white and blush-pink petals spread across the different flowers so no two look the same. Yellow face centres, black cartoon eyes and outlines, pink cheek blushes on each face, green stems, dark green leaf fill and charcoal for the deeper outline work. Density at 1,417 is genuinely high, this is a very dense stitch piece with a suprisingly detailed result on the faces especially.

Only 4 sizes available, 3.28 to 5.46 inches wide, heights from 4.51 to 7.51. The top size hits 58,000 stitches. Thats alot for a 5.5 inch design, the density is doing serious work here. Slow the machine right down on that biggest version. Cutaway on every size with good underlay prep especially if youre stitching on lighter cotton. 14 colour changes but they follow a logical flower-by-flower sequence.

Youre mostly gonna see this on tote bags and shirts for people who are into kawaii or plant mum aesthetic stuff. I sold a bunch of the 4 inch size to someone who makes iron-on patches, just last month actually. Customers have been ordering this one steadily through spring. Stitched on black, white, sage green or mustard yellow fabric the colours really pop. Avoid pale pink or lavender backgrounds where the lavender petals disappear.

Try it on a dark navy tote bag for maximum impact. The 14 thread colours all read crisply against dark backgrounds and the cartoon faces become the star of the show.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
