Three flamingos all dressed up for christmas and honestly they look like they wandered into the wrong holiday. Left one is wearing a green elf hat and these lil green elf boots with white pom-poms at the top. Middle flamingo has a full red santa hat on, tipped slightly sideways the way a hat sits when its too big. Right one has brown reindeer antlers strapped to its head and a red plaid scarf around its neck. All 3 of them have a string of coloured fairy lights looped around their long necks and trailing out from both sides, bulbs in red, yellow and green. The whole thing looks like someone decorated the flamingos when they weren't looking.
Its a 15 colour design across 5 sizes, tallest hitting 7.5 inches at around 31,000 stitches. The flamingo pink fills are done with long-and-short stitching so theres some visible feather texture, not just flat satin. Back it with a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser for knits or fleece, tearaway works fine on stable woven cotton. Hoop nice and tight because those thin wire runs can wander if the fabric shifts mid-stitch.
My mum stitched this onto a tea towel for our kitchen last christmas and it got more comments than any of the decorations in the actual house. People either do a double take or immediately want one. Theres something about the totally wrong tropical bird doing christmas stuff that makes people laugh. 15 colours sounds like a lot but most of the changes are short, the main pink and the black outlines take up most of the run time.
Stitch this on white or cream cotton for the clearest colours. Go for the 5.87 inch wide size on a standard 8x8 hoop with a bit of breathing room. Use a water-soluble topping on any textured terry or waffle fabric so the light-string details stitch clean rather than getting lost in the texture.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
