Right so meet the funny crane bird and shes a proper character. Tall skinny cartoon crane standing tilted to one side, white feathers across the body shaded with plum and dusty rose under the wing, a wild crest of feathers spiking off her head every which way. The orange beak runs almost half her body length, sits open like shes mid sentence about something.

Two stick thin orange legs hold the whole thing up and they look gonna snap any second, which is half the joke. Cartoon eyes sit close together with a tiny pupil, brown nose ridge, you can read attitude on the face from across the room. Feather work uses directional satin so the messy plumage actually catches light, not flat shading.

I drew this one for the funny cartoon crowd, paired her with the lavender bird in my shop for a matching set. A customer last winter ordered both for her twins nursery and sent photos, the kids point at em and giggle every nap time. Best fabric is plain cotton or jersey in cream sand or oatmeal, the white feathers want abit of warmth in the background to read soft. Skip pure white shirts, the feather highlights vanish aswell.
