This ostrich has absolutely no idea whats going on and thats the whole charm of it. Tiny round head sitting on top of a very long wobbly neck, huge surprised eyes, stubby little wings sticking out to the sides, orange stick legs. The body is round and fluffy with sandy brown feathers and the whole thing is done in that kawaii cartoon style where nothing is quite in the right proportion and thats exactly the point.
5 sizes, 3.26 inches up to 7 inches wide, and the stitch count ranges from 21,619 to 54,304. 10 colours total, the density is about 1,034 which is solid but not extreme. Thick satin column outlines keep the character bold and clear, even the fine beak detail stays sharp at the smaller sizes.
I drew this for a customer who wanted something for her kids tshirts last summer, she ordered it in the medium size and then came back asking for send me the largest version aswell because her husband wanted it on a hat. Funny how that happens.
Stitch on cotton, canvas or denim. Use a cutaway stabiliser especially for the 7 inch version, 10 colour changes need a stable base. Skip stretchy fabrics, bold outlines distort on knits. Pick a plain white, cream or light grey background so the sandy beige feathers and orange beak pop properly.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
