This is the kind of design that makes people laugh when they see it on a tote bag. Just the head and that long silly neck, seven colours, six sizes from 2.39 inches wide up to 5.11 wide and 3.5 through to 7 tall. Its narrow but tall, which is useful for items like wine bottle bags, narrow door panels, or the front of a slim pen pouch. The neck skin texture uses short satin at varied angles to get that wrinkled look without going heavy on stitch count.

Stitch counts range from 13,132 at the smallest to 34,618 at the top size. Density of 140 is firm enough to hold the skin-tone detail but the total stitch count is manageable even on a home machine. Pair light cutaway anything that moves, and add a topping on terry or similar pile fabrics to stop the satin from sinking. I customised the colour order so you dont get thread ends crossing over the eye zone, the digitising sequences neck first, then eye ring, then pupil and beak details last. One customer messaged me last march after making six gift carriers with this design for a hamper set, she said her friends couldnt stop laughing when they saw them. Dont overthink the beak satin columns either, they stitch cleanly at the tip on any tight-weave fabric.

Best on cotton canvas, denim, or medium-weight woven fabrics where the beak detail stays sharp. Skip heavy pile fabrics at the smaller sizes, the narrow neck detail needs a firm surface to register cleanly.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Funny gift tote bagThe 5-inch tall design fits a wine bottle gift bag front perfectly, the neck fills the space naturally.
  • Wine bottle gift bagCentre the 4-inch on a cotton tote for a genuinely funny gift that people actually use afterwards.
  • Novelty kitchen apronRun the 4-inch on an apron bib, tearaway peels cleanly off cotton twill after hooping.
  • Slim pen pouch frontThe tall narrow profile fits a slim pen pouch or glasses case front with room to spare.
  • Kids joke birthday bagStitch the 3.5-inch on a small cotton party bag for a kids joke-themed birthday gift filler.
  • Novelty cotton cushion coverThe 5-inch on a white cotton cushion cover makes a great conversation piece for a living room shelf.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
