A rooster wearing glasses and reading a book, settled in like hes got nowhere to be. His tail feathers are fanned out behind him, beak down, totally absorbed. Its kinda the most relatable thing Ive seen digitised in a while. The pages have lil text marks on em which is a nice detail that holds even at the smaller sizes.
Runs across 11 colours: red comb, orange beak and feet, white body feathers, black accent marks, warm brown plumage and cream for the book. Stitch range is 14,685 at the smallest up to 34,596 at full size, so its a manageable machine time even for the larger version.
The outline on the feather tips uses a fine satin column so use a stabiliser that matches your fabric. Tearaway works on woven cotton and linen, cutaway on anything stretchy or fleece.
5 sizes from roughly 3.35 by 3.5 inches up to 7.18 by 7.5 inches. A customer this spring ordered a batch of the medium size for farm-themed aprons as a market stall gift line and told me they were the quickest seller she had.
Works great on white or cream cotton aprons, canvas totes, linen kitchen towels and fleece blankets. Skip busy patterned fabrics, the character detail gets lost fast. Plain backgrounds let the humour land properly. Send me a note if the file isnt loading right in your software and Ill convert to what you need.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Farm-themed kitchen apronsOn a cream cotton apron the rooster character reads immediately and gets a laugh every time someone sees it in the kitchen.
- Novelty gifts for book lovers with farmsThis is a genuinely funny gift for a friend who both reads and keeps chickens, that exact niche exists.
- Country market tote bagsThe medium size on a natural canvas tote works well for country markets and farm shop gift lines.
- Kids room cushion panelsA larger size on a cushion panel turns a plain pillow into a fun conversation piece in a farmhouse-style bedroom.
- Linen tea towelsStitched onto a plain linen tea towel it makes an affordable handmade gift that has actual personality.
- Canvas book bags for rural schoolsThe smallest size fits nicely on a canvas book bag for a child at a rural school or farm-adjacent community.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
