Reached for this design alot when I was building the pet-lover section because every dog mum and cat mum I know wants something that doesnt look like a generic clip-art paw. This one is an open heart outline but the entire left side of the heart is replaced by a trail of paw prints, seven of them running down from the top curve all the way to the bottom point. The right side of the heart stays as a clean satin line and Fur Mama in a flowing cursive script sits across the lower interior of the shape.
Its a 1-colour design so theres no colour change to manage, which makes it great for a quick single-thread run on a canvas tote or a pet bandana. Five sizes from 2.52 wide at the smallest to 5.87 wide at the largest, heights 3.01 up to 7.01 inches. Stitch counts are quite light, 4,614 at the smallest and 11,589 at the biggest, so it stitches out fast. professional digitising software digitising keeps the satin on the heart outline firm and even, you wont get those pull-in gaps on the curve that cheaper files give you. Drop cutaway behind stretchy fabric like jersey or fleece, tearaway is fine on a firm canvas weave.
Best with black thread on a cream, blush, or sage fabric so the satin outline pops cleanly. One customer did this in burgundy on a natural linen pouch and it looked realy nice, very giftable. Last Christmas I sold more of this one than any other single-colour design in the pet range. Reach out if the file doesnt open in your software and Ill check it for you.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Dog mum and cat mum tote bagsAt 5.87 inches wide, this fills a tote front panel well and reads clearly for a dog mum gift.
- Pet bandana fabric frontsThe 2.52-inch size drops neatly onto a fabric bandana without going edge to edge on smaller dog sizes.
- Personalised pet portrait hoopsHooped on 7-inch natural linen in a hoop frame, the outline heart reads as a clean wall display piece.
- Zip pouches for vet supply bagsA zip pouch stitched in black on sage green cotton makes a cute vet trip accessory bag.
- Iron-on patches for denim jacketsRun the mid-size on a firm iron-on backing fabric, trim tight, and it patches onto denim without bulk.
- Matching mum-and-pet matching shirtsStitch matching shirts for the owner and a small pocket patch for the pet outfit using the 2.52-inch size.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
