This design has alot more colour work than my usual halloween stuff cause the customer who requested it wanted the pumpkin really sing on its own. I added the shadow tones on the pumpkin segments back in october which took the design from flat to dimensional. Six colours sounds like alot but really its 2 oranges, cream, black, green, and a small accent.
Stitch counts run from 10083 to 19386 across 3 sizes. Widths span 3 to 5.01 inches and heights from 2.87 to 4.78 inches. Density set to 810 spi which is on the higher side cause the layered pumpkin shading needs tight stitches to avoid the underlay peeking through. Hoop firm. Use cutaway stabiliser on tees and sweatshirts. Tearaway for woven bags. Topping helps on terry but kinda not needed on smooth cotton. Heres what Ive seen work on smaller hoop sizes.
Some customers been usin it on kids halloween hoodies, em soft fall sweaters, and tote bags for trick-or-treating. One customer ran the 3 inch version on a matching mom-and-kid bib set last halloween and the photos she sent back were really sweet. The smaller size sits on a chest pocket clean, and the 5.01 inch fills a left chest or a centred kids tee front nicely.
Watch the colour changes when youre digitising the order, the two oranges are close in tone but distinct on stitch out. Run the darker shadow orange first then the brighter body. The black carved features go last so they sit on top of the orange. Hoop tight cause the high density means alot of needle penetrations in a small footprint.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Kids halloween hoodie frontMatching mom-and-kid bib set commission last halloween, customer sent back photos that were really sweet from the photo session.
- Cotton t-shirt left chestRun the darker shadow orange first then the brighter body, the carved black features stitch last to sit cleanly on top.
- Felt trick-or-treat toteKids halloween hoodie front placement carries the layered shading well, the dimensional pumpkin pops off pile fabric.
- Sweatshirt centred chest pieceFelt trick-or-treat tote works because the horizontal scene fills a square panel without needing additional border elements.
- Canvas pencil pouch frontsits in a 3-inch hoop snug for tee chest placement, the high density needs firm hooping or floppy fabric shifts mid-stitch.
- Baby bib chest placementTwo oranges are close in tone but distinct on stitch out, watch the colour change order during digitising so the layers register.
- Fall throw pillow accentThrow pillow accent corner placement reads as a fall decor moment rather than a costume novelty, suits autumn living room sets.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
