I made this hybrid back in october cause customers kept asking for somethin that combined ghost and pumpkin into one shape instead of two side by side. The ghost-face carved pumpkin works as a softer take on the classic jack-o-lantern, the open o mouth reads friendly rather than scary so kids dont get put off by it. I also tucked tiny bats around the corners to add halloween atmosphere without crowding the central shape.
Stitch counts run 7238 to 14561 across 4 sizes. Widths span 3.5 to 6.5 inches with heights from 3.05 to 5.67 inches. Density set to 395 spi which is on the lighter side, the orange body fill needs breathing room so the shading reads. Six colours total: bright orange, shadow orange, dark green stem, black face, cream highlight, accent dot. Use cutaway stabiliser on tees and sweatshirts, tearaway for woven canvas bags. Hoop tight. Add water-soluble topping on fleece, the carved face details need to sit on top of pile not sink into it. Im always rooting for the embroiderer who hoops tight. Quick stitching for what you get out. Heres what people seem to love about it. Its been my best seller this autumn.
Id customer last month send photo, she set the medium build on a kids halloween sweatshirt and it looked great in person. the 3.5 small build size sits on a chest pocket clean, the medium fills a left chest, and the 6.5 inch fills a centred kids tee front nicely. One customer ordered it for matching family hoodies aswell, em coordinated halloween photos for the family album last fall.
Run colours in order from lightest to darkest, the shadow orange goes on top of the bright orange not under it. The black face details and bats stitch last so they sit cleanly on the orange layer, hoop firm cause the density is light and floppy fabric can shift mid-stitch.
