This one came together really nicely as a group scene. The ghost sits right in the centre with a pumpkin on each side, like they're all just hanging out together for halloween. Both pumpkins have that classic carved look, triangular eyes and jagged grins, done in warm orange with black satin detailing and little brown stem tips at the top.
The ghost itself is white with grey underlay shading through the body, which gives it some depth without being too heavy. Alot of ghost designs look flat but the directional fill here actually reads well on lighter fabrics. Ive hooped this on a cream fleece pullover and the 4-inch version sits really cleanly at the chest. Run it on a medium cutaway stabiliser, the density sits around 1038 and theres decent underlay keeping everything flat. Stitch it on a stable knit or woven cotton for best results. Pop it on a tote bag and the wide symmetrical trio fills the face perfectly.
Five colours total, 4 colour changes. Sizes run from 3 inch up to 6 inch, stitch count goes from 15,696 up to 37,493 at the largest. Digitised in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio. I get messages every October from people who want a ghost design thats got more going on than just the ghost alone, and this is the one I always point them to first. The wide three-figure composition works well on anything with a bit of horizontal room, tote bags and pillowcases being the obvious ones, though Ive seen it done on the back of a kids hoodie aswell and that looked great.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Kids halloween trick-or-treat bagsThe wide trio composition sits well centred on flat tote faces, no awkward cropping at the edges.
- Seasonal tote bags and canvas pouchesWorks on natural canvas without a topping since the white and orange threads show cleanly against undyed fabric.
- Halloween-themed pillow coversThe 6-inch size fills a standard pillow panel without feeling cramped, and the symmetrical layout suits centred placement.
- Children's sweatshirts and hoodiesThe 4-inch version fits chest or sleeve placement on youth sizes without overwhelming the garment.
- Fall craft fair table runnersFlat table runner fabric in natural linen takes the orange pumpkin colour especially well at lower density.
- October classroom banner fabric panelsDigitised detail holds running at 3 inch, so it stays readable even on smaller banner pieces.
- Halloween gift wrapping clothThe balanced composition wraps fabric squares or furoshiki-style cloth gift wrapping cleanly.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
