So theres two completely different lettering styles happening here and that contrast is what makes it work. The top word girl is written in this thin flowing cursive, the g swoops up high and the whole word leans forward like its mid-sentence. A thin curved baseline line runs out from the l and connects straight to a small solid red heart sitting just before mama starts. That little accent is the punctuation basically.
Then mama below it switches entirely to a thick chunky serif, lowercase, with those vertical shading lines inside the letterforms that give it that old-fashioned letterpress feel. Bold and grounded right under the light cursive above. The contrast between the two weights is the whole visual trick and it lands really well in thread.
Ive had customer orders where this went on dark navy crewnecks and the black reads just fine, but it really pops best on light or white fabric where that accent colour stands out cleanest. Last spring a customer ordered three of these for a matching tee set and it was the tiny red detail that sold it for them, which honestly suprised me a bit. Back the fabric with a woven stabiliser, hoop tight, and those two separate lettering weights stitch out sharp with clean edges on both styles.
Five sizes from 3 inches to 7 inches wide, so it fits everything from a chest pocket up to a full front tee placement. Digitised in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio, 2 colour stops, 1 colour change. Skip stretchy knits without a stable backing layer, the letterpress shading inside mama needs the fabric to stay absolutely still while stitching. Use a firm woven interfacing bonded behind jersey before you hoop and youll be fine. Text me through the shop if anything stitches weird and ill sort it same day.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
