Heres the spring ladybug gnome and hes wearing a tall red hat covered in big black ladybug dots, with two little black antennae sticking up top. Two clear bee wings poke out behind his hat too, kinda mixing the ladybug and bee theme into one gnome. He holds a single white daisy in his glove, yellow centre poking forward, olive stem dropping down past his feet.
White beard hangs down in soft stripes past his belly, peach nose pokes out the front, olive shoes peek under the hem. Daisy petals are done in simple satin columns so they have that smooth shine, and the yellow centre uses a textured fill with little dots so it reads as flower pollen, not just a yellow circle. Bee wings stitch out fast with a single line of black so theyre delicate, see-through and not heavy.
Realised after stitching this on my own kitchen towel that the ladybug hat fill is the densest area, so you might wanna slow your machine down through that section. Eight colour changes total but the runs are short so theres alot of bobbin work and not much actual thread time.
I get asks about this one alot from people customising garden party gifts and bee themed nursery rooms. My niece used the smallest size on a baby bib for her april baby shower and it looked sweet sat next to the cake.
Comes in 5 sizes from 3.19 inches up to 6.83 inches tall. Skip dark fabrics for the red hat fill because the contrast just isnt there. Stitches lovely on cream linen, white waffle, sage canvas and natural cotton. Slip tearaway under cotton, swap to cutaway for any stretch knit.
