Fourteen colours in this heron, which I know sounds like alot but each one is doing real work. Slate blue-grey covers the main body, the pale cream neck, rust face stripe, and those long wispy chest plumes in near-white all come together in a bird that actually looks like a great blue heron rather than a generic wading bird. Directional satin work follows the natural feather flow on every section, so the wing primaries, the neck texture, and the chest plumes all read correctly when hooped up.
Five sizes from 3.5 x 3.04 inches up to 7.5 x 6.51 inches, density 794, so its on the lighter side for such a detailed piece. Stitch counts go from 17,810 to 38,782, send me message if the count on your machine differs and I can check the file. The lower density is intentional, it lets the feather layers breathe and avoids bulk-up on the chest plume area where multiple colours overlap. Good cutaway stabiliser is still the right call at any size, hooped on medium-weight woven fabric gives the cleanest result.
A customer last january put this on a fishing vest at the 5.5 inch size and said it looked exactly right for an outdoor gift. Pair it with navy or olive green fabric if you want the slate-blue tones to really show up. Add a bit of topping on any textured weave so the fine plume stitches dont sink into the grain.
Email me if you run into any file issue and Ill look into it right away.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
