Heres a cute green dinosaur and hes a chunky lil guy. Plump rounded body, short legs, long curling tail thats almost as long as the rest of him. Spiky ridge of dark green plates runs from the back of his head all the way down to the tail tip. Mint belly, fresh green sides, and a little smile with two tiny teeth peeking out. Big round eyes. Friendly. Not scary at all.
Seven thread colours total. Fresh green carries the body, darker forest green for the back stripes and spikes, mint for the belly and inner tail, ivory for the teeth and a soft charcoal for the outlines. Nine sizes range from 2.81 inches up to 7.5 inches in width. The biggest pulls 38175 stitches and the smallest is 12701, so smaller sizes work fine on baby clothing.
I drew this last christmas for a customer who runs a kids boutique in oregon, she needed a non-licensed dinosaur for toddler tees and pyjamas because she couldnt do trex or stegosaurus characters. The smile was the breakthrough, gave him personality without making him aggressive. She ordered a bulk run for her holiday drop. Sold out before new years.
Stitch on soft pastel or mid-tone fabric for the cleanest read. Cream cotton onesies, sage tees, butter yellow toddler shorts and dusty pink jersey rompers all work. Skip dark colours like black or navy because the mint belly disappears and the outlines lose contrast. Pass on busy printed cloth as well since the dino has alot of detail in the spikes and stripes.
If youre stitching on stretchy jersey use a medium cutaway stabiliser plus a wash-away topping, the long directional fills on the body need a stable base or theyll pucker. Hoop snug, ease the rpm during the tail and belly satin runs because there are seven thread stops. Drop a help-form note if a fill reads thin on heavy denim.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
