Left side is all butterfly. The wing panel carries those classic satin stripes in salmon pink, with black vein lines running across and a solid black outer border that gives it that proper monarch shape. Right side drops the wing entirely and just becomes a flower bunch. Same black antennae curl up from the body on both sides, so the two halves share one silhouette.

The bouquet side has a few distinct blooms. Theres a round layered flower in deep pink that looks a bit like a dahlia, a flat five-petal yellow one above it, a tight magenta aster below, and then small red berry clusters on short stems with bright green leaf sprigs tucking in around the edges. Its not an explosion of flowers, its more like someone put them together carefully so each one has its own space.

Last spring a customer needed the 6-inch run onto a pale grey canvas tote as a gift for her sister and said the split concept got more compliments than any other bag she'd made that year. Email me if youre doing a mirror-repeat on a jacket back because flipping this one creates a full symmetrical butterfly with a flower center, Ive seen customers do that and it photographs really well. The split reads best at the 5-inch and above where the individual flower shapes stay legible. At 3-inch the smaller berries and leaf tips simplify a bit but the main shapes hold.

Use pale backgrounds for this one. White, cream, soft grey. The salmon pink and magenta really want a light neutral behind them. Skip black fabric if you want the green leaves to show, they almost disappear on dark ground. Use cutaway stabiliser on woven fabric, firm topping on any stretch knit. Hoop snug and your run should be clean first attempt.

Stitch range is 13k at the smallest and 30k on the 8-inch, well within normal for 5 colours. The 4 colour changes are clean and straightforward, no fidgety stops. Email me if something looks off and Ill fix it same day.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
