I made this garland design back in october after alot of customers asked me for something that wasnt just a single isolated motif. They wanted a scene, something that looked like actual seasonal decor when stitched out. So this is the result. Its a full horizontal banner composition with four halloween elements, bats, a jack-o-lantern, a ghost, and a spider, all hanging in a line as if they're strung on a cord, and it sits at 3.5 x 3.33 inches once hooped.
The digitising on this one took real care because you've got 4 colours and 8,375 stitches packed into a compact footprint, which means density management is everything. I kept density at 111 per the Wilcom output, so the satin sections on the pumpkin dont flatten and the bat wings hold their shape without pulling the fabric. Run a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser underneath, dont skip the topping on fleece or towelling or the outlines will sink. Stitch order goes background fill to outline to details last, which is already baked into the file.
And honestly this hits hardest on dark fabrics. Black felt, charcoal fleece, deep burgundy canvas, the four colours pop without needing heavy underlay adjustments. Use a 75/11 embroidery needle on lighter cottons, bump to 90/14 on thicker items like tote bags or hooded sweatshirts. Pair it with a matching single-element design on the back or sleeve if ya want a full halloween kit feel.
I get messages every year asking for this kind of multi-element garland layout and Im glad I finally got it done right. The file downloads instantly after purchase in all 8 formats. Holler at me through the contact form if anything isnt stitching out the way it should.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Halloween tote bag front panelNatural canvas tote front panel, the four elements across the garland read as a little halloween scene rather than a generic motif.
- Seasonal kitchen towel borderCotton kitchen towel centred at full size, tearaway stabiliser, the low density at 111 keeps the towel drape natural after stitching.
- Kids halloween sweatshirt chestFleece sweatshirt left chest with polyester topping, the four elements and their distinct colours stay separate and readable on fleece pile.
- Trick or treat bag embroideryTrick-or-treat bag centred on the front face, dark fabric with four contrasting element colours creates a genuinely striking bag.
- Black felt holiday wall hangingBlack felt square mounted in a wall frame, stitch and cut to size, no extra stabiliser needed under stiff dense felt.
- Halloween pillow cover centerpieceThrow pillow cover for the october sofa refresh, the garland scene format suits a pillow centrepiece better than a single isolated figure.
- Autumn table runner accentTable runner repeated placement, space each garland at regular intervals so it reads as a continuous halloween party banner across the whole table.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
