The more detailed version of the ghost cat and dog concept, nine colours versus four in the simpler version, which means more facial expression, more shading on the ghost bodies, and honestly just more character. The ghost shapes are still the classic rounded teardrop form but theres alot more going on in the details. I made this one when people kept asking if I had something a kinda bit more finished-looking for the pet halloween designs.
14,530 stitches at a density of 221, digitised in Wilcom. Nine colours means more stops, but Wilcom sequences the colour changes in a sensible order so youre not jumping back and forth between the same threads. At 3.51" wide by 2.9" tall its almost square, which makes it flexible for left chest, tote bag centring, or a cap front if you have the panel space. Stitch it on heather grey or dusty purple fabric, the white ghost bodies look really nice against those mid-tone backgrounds.
Hoop on a medium-weight cotton or cotton blend, use cutaway stabiliser underneath on any knit surface. Run a light topping over the fabric before you start, it stops the fibres catching in the satin fill areas and creating that pilled look. I get messages every october from people who use this as a matching set with the simpler four-colour version, one design on the owner shirt, one on the pet bandana. One customer stitched the nine-colour version on a purple sweatshirt and sent me a photo with her two cats sitting on it. Genuinely cute.
Use a properly tensioned hoop and cutaway stabiliser on any stretch content. Skip thin jersey, nine colour changes need a fabric that stays stable through the full run.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
