Three lil ghosts, all piled together like they cant decide which direction to haunt. I drew these with a soft rounded style, nothing sharp, nothing mean, just big surprised eyes and puffy little bodies you'd wanna squeeze. The density sits at 159 which is medium territory, and at 8,689 stitches across a 3.51 inch width the whole thing stitches out clean without needing alot of stabiliser fuss. Wilcom was used to digitise these, so the underlay is solid and the satin edges hold on medium-weight cotton without pulling.

Heres the thing about ghost designs, people buy them every october and then come back in february asking if I have more, because they realise theyre not just halloween, theyre just... cute. A customer wrote me last september saying she'd hooped this onto every trick-or-treat bag she made for her kids' school class. Three colours total, which means three thread changes but theyre all short stops so the bobbin tension stays consistent. Back with heavyweight cutaway on knit if youre putting it on a stretchy costume piece, the density at 159 isnt so high that it'll stiffen the fabric but you still want that base for the satin border.

And honestly the design reads really well at small scale too. Pop it on a 3.5 inch hoop, use white, pale grey, and black, and youre done. Stitch it on a trick-or-treat bag, a pillowcase, a kids' halloween onesie, the directional fill on the bodies keeps everything looking intentional even on fleece. Skip dark black fabric if you want the white to pop; pale grey or orange backgrounds work best.

Holler if the file doesnt download right or you want me to check something for you.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kids' trick-or-treat bag patchStitch on a 14-inch canvas tote at 3.5 inches wide; use tearaway stabiliser on the flat base panel for clean edges.
  • Halloween pillowcase left chestPosition at 3.51 inches on a standard pillowcase hem area; medium cotton percale with cutaway backing holds the satin outline flat.
  • Toddler onesie front appliqueCentre on a 0-3 month onesie chest; use a topping layer of water-soluble film over the terry knit to keep stitch definition.
  • Costume tote bag centre panelHoop the tote panel flat with cutaway stabiliser; white, grey, and black thread reads strongly on orange cotton canvas.
  • Halloween kitchen towel cornerPlace at the corner of a flour-sack towel 1 inch from the hem; tearaway stabiliser on the flat weave removes cleanly.
  • Kids' hoodie front chest stitchLeft chest on a 3T hoodie fleece; iron-on cutaway stabiliser first to stabilise the pile, then run at standard speed.
  • Party favour pouch decorationStitch on 4x4-inch organza pouch front; lightweight tearaway behind the sheer fabric keeps the ghost shapes crisp.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
