Three gnomes around a cauldron and honestly their hats alone are worth the price. One is in a tall orange and black striped hat that could double as a candy cane from a distance. The second has a spotted orange hat. The third is in a classic grey witchs hat with a belt buckle detail on the band. None of them have visible faces because gnomes dont do faces, they just do hats and attitude. Between them the cauldron bubbles with green glowing potion, the kind of green that reads as definitely magical and probably lime flavoured.
To the left of the group a black cat sits watching the whole production with those vivid green eyes. Its expression is peak cat, completely unimpressed with the whole halloween production and youre gonna love it. Two bats fly overhead because every halloween scene needs at least two bats as a legal requirement. Eighteen colours, 18 stops, so this one takes some time at the larger sizes. The biggest at 5.5 x 7.5 inches runs just under 74k stitches which is a meaty stitch out but the 18-colour result looks like a full illustration, not an embroidery design.
Pair a no-show cutaway on any stretch or knit fabric, the width and density of this piece needs solid support. Hoop very firm. Add water-soluble topping on fleece or towelling. Best on black, dark navy or dark charcoal where all the orange and green highlights light up properly. Skip light fabric for this one, the dark outlines and dark cat body dont read well against white or cream. One customer last October asked me to swap out the cauldron green to match their Madeira thread set and that worked perfectly, so drop me a note if you want any of the 18 stops adjusted.
