This little character is one of my favourites in the whole Halloween collection. Its a small cat wearing a proper witch outfit, pointed hat tipped slightly forward with little stars on it, a tiny cape flowing behind, and one paw holding up a glowing lantern. The lantern has that warm yellow inner glow detail that gives the whole design a quiet atmospheric feeling, like the cat is out on a moonlit Halloween walk. The illustration style is soft and slightly storybook, not aggressive or cartoonish, just genuinely sweet. Cat people in particular go absolutely wild for this one.
Exact sizes and stitch counts are in the PDF that comes with the download. The lantern glow detail and the cape texture suggest a moderate stitch count with a few color layers. Use a lightweight cutaway on fleece or knit sweatshirts to support the detail fills. Tearaway works on stable wovens like canvas or denim. Hoop the fabric firmly and make sure your needle is fresh before you start on those fine hat star passes.
This one goes on kids Halloween outfits more than anything else, but I also get orders from adults who are just cat people and want it on their own sweatshirt all through October. A customer stitched it on the front of a grey fleece sweatshirt for her daughter and said the teacher asked to take a photo of it at school, which is the best kind of feedback. Works beautifully on a canvas zipper pouch too, the lantern detail really pops on a smaller format.
