A monster truck with its wheels cranked up to cartoon proportions, the kind that looks like it could roll over a pile of pumpkins and keep going. The truck body panels are decorated with Halloween motifs, an orange pumpkin face on the door panel and black flame or drip details along the bonnet edge. Four colour stops total: orange, black, white highlights, and a grey for the rim metalwork. The tyres have proper tread pattern detail stitched in directional fill so they dont look flat.

Stitch count runs from 12,480 at the 2.88 by 3.5-inch size up to 36,161 on the largest 6.16 by 7.49-inch version. The density is 784 stitches per square inch in the filled panels which means you need a medium to heavy cutaway stabiliser, dont use tearaway for anything above the small size. Ive run the mid-size 4-inch version on cotton jersey for kids shirts many times and the key is hooping the fabric itself rather than just floating it, especially with younger kids shirts where the fabric is thin.

Best results come on firm woven cotton or canvas. A bunch of my repeat customers use this one for boys Halloween shirts every year, usually the 4 to 5-inch size on a shirt chest. Avoid bobbin thread that contrasts heavily with your top colour if any of the satin sections are narrow since the back-of-stitch can show at the edges. Match your bobbin to the background fabric colour and it stays clean.

Use the small 2.88-inch version on a hat brim panel or pocket patch where space is tight and you still want the full truck shape recognised at a glance.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Boys Halloween shirts and sweatshirtsBoys Halloween shirt at the 4-inch chest size, medium cutaway keeps the satin body panels flat after washing.
  • Halloween trick-or-treat bags for kidsHat crown panel for a Halloween outfit, the 2.88-inch width sits inside the front panel without overrunning the seam.
  • Personalised boys jacket back panelsCanvas trick-or-treat bag front at 5 inches, the orange pumpkin door panel pops against a natural or black base.
  • Halloween party favour bags and pouchesBackpack front pocket on canvas, fuse the cutaway to the fabric first then hoop so the patch doesnt pucker.
  • Backpack patches and canvas school bag panelsSeasonal bedroom cushion for a kids room where Halloween decor is the whole theme through October.
  • Seasonal kids room cushion coversDenim patch for a jacket or overalls, cut out on tearaway backing after stitching and iron-bond the edges.
  • Hat panels and cap brims for Halloween outfitsParty favour pouch with the small 2.88-inch size, runs fast and holds all 4 colours cleanly at that scale.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
