Put this together for the halloween crowd that wants spooky but not scary. The design stacks 3 elements vertically, a carved jack-o-lantern pumpkin at the base with its classic triangle eyes and gap-toothed grin, a big decorative bow tied around the stem just above, and floating up top is a little rounded ghost with dot eyes and a wavy hem. Its more cute than creepy, which is exactly the brief I had in mind.

The pumpkin orange satin fill is the dominant colour, dense and smooth with directional stitching that follows the curved ribbing of the gourd shape. Black outlines define the face cutouts and the ghost. The bow sits between them in a dusty lavender or warm purple, Wilcom pulled clean column stitching on the bow loops and the tail ends. Ghost body runs in white satin with a soft grey underlay so it sits raised slightly from the background. 6 colours, 11 sizes, 13,397 stitches small file scaling all the way to the largest at 34,114 on the full 3.72-inch wide version.

This halloween design gets ordered every September before the season. A customer last october messaged me to say she used the 2.5-inch size on 12 kids trick-or-treat bags and still had time to do the iron-on names. Having 11 sizes is genuinely handy for this kind of seasonal batch work because you can match the hoop to whatever blank size you have. Text me if something reads funny in a format file and Ill sort a replacement the same day.

Use cutaway stabiliser on knit blanks and fleece, tearaway works fine on stable wovens like canvas and cotton twill. Hoop firmly, the narrow 2-inch-wide sizes need the fabric taut so the fine ghost outline doesnt pull. Pop the 2 to 2.5 inch run on a shirt sleeve or bag corner for a subtle placement, run the full 3.72-inch size on a hoodie chest for a statement piece. Skip black fabric unless you skip the ghost outline too, white satin on black can look thin if the underlay density isnt adjusted.

11 sizes make this flexible for pocket embroidery on shirts and large hoop work on bags and blankets alike.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
