A straightforward halloween classic, pumpkin with a witch hat sitting on top. I get messages every year asking for this exact combo because it works on so much stuff without feeling overdone. The design sits at 2.54" wide and 3.5" tall, five colours, 16,218 stitches at a density of 283.
The ribbed pumpkin body uses directional satin to suggest the natural ridges of a real pumpkin, its a subtle effect but it makes the finished piece look less flat than a uniform fill would. Five colour stops is manageable: orange body, black hat and face, green stem, plus two supporting shades. Back with medium cutaway on knit fabrics, the density is high enough that tearaway wont hold cleanly on stretch. On cotton twill or canvas, tearaway is fine and cleans up quick with just 16k stitches.
Stitch it on a kids halloween shirt, a reusable trick-or-treat bag, or a small autumn wreath centre piece, hoop some stiff felt and cut around the design for a no-sew ornament version. The vertical format also works nicely on a wine bottle bag if youre doing halloween hostess gifts. Keep your tension even through the pumpkin body satin, rushing that section causes the directional fill to blur at the rib lines and you lose the texture effect.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
