Drew this trio up last summer before halloween season hit. Three pumpkins stacked vertically, biggest one sitting at the base, middle one just slightly smaller, small one perched at the top. Each face is carved different so they dont all look like copies of each other. Bottom pumpkin has a classic triangular-eyed grin, the middle one has round eyes and a scalloped mouth, and the top one is the smallest with simple oval eyes and a gap-toothed smile. The variety is what makes a trio actually work as an embroidery.
Just 2 colours across the whole design, bright orange and black. No gradients, no blended fills, its intentionally graphic and high-contrast. That 2-colour simplicity is actually the point. Message me if you need a third colour added but honestly the orange-on-black reads alot better than designs that try to shade every pumpkin. Thats about 1,098 stitches per square inch in density, on the higher end for a simple 2-colour piece, so Wilcom built it to sit flat and solid with no gaps in the orange fill sections.
9 sizes starting at 1.94 inches wide up to 4.16 wide, and the 9 sizes start at 3.51 inch tall and finish at 7.51. Thats a narrow-but-tall ratio which works for shirt plackets, tote bag side panels, or sock cuffs aswell. Stitch range is 12,088 to 34,292. At the narrow widths the orange satin fill needs a cutaway stabiliser so it doesnt tunnel through lightweight fabric. One customer ordered a run of 4 of these on black fleece zip-up bags for a halloween market last october, they went with the 3.5-inch version and said the orange popped without any bleed.
Stick to black, charcoal, dark navy, or deep forest green as your base fabric and the bright orange does all the work. On pale fabric the high-contrast design loses something, it just reads safer and flatter. Try it on a tote bag front, a trick-or-treat bag, or a seasonal kitchen towel for quick seasonal pieces. Hoop tight, use cutaway, and the dense orange satin will sit clean.
So if you need a size thats not listed just message me and Ill check if it fits in the available hoop size range. All 8 formats drop in the download.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- trick-or-treat tote bag or drawstring bag frontHoop the 4-inch size on a black canvas tote and you have a trick-or-treat bag that actually holds up night after night
- halloween shirt placket or front chest placementPut the 2.5-inch version on a shirt placket area for a subtle halloween nod that doesnt overwhelm the whole garment
- seasonal kitchen towel or cloth napkin embroideryStitch the mid-size on a black kitchen towel set and get 3 matching spooky towels done in an afternoon with the fast stitch count
- kids halloween party favour bag embroideryEmbroider the small 2-inch size on kraft paper favour bags after printing, or on small cotton drawstring pouches for a halloween party
- black fleece zip pouch or makeup bag panelRun the 3.5-inch version on a black fleece zip pouch, high density orange satin sits flat on fleece without pulling
- halloween pillow cover or cushion panel designHoop the large version on a pillow front using charcoal linen so the orange trio carries the whole seasonal look
- sock cuff or boot cuff band embroideryGrab the narrow version for a sock cuff or boot topper, the tall ratio fits the cuff band without needing to resize

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
